At this board meeting, the 2024 financial settlement and audit results were reported, and an agenda for increasing the foundation's assets was discussed. Despite challenging economic and financial circumstances, the Mokpo city government and the foundation's board of directors demonstrated strong commitment by approving a plan to increase the basic assets by approximately 700 million KRW.
In addition, at the event, Park Incheol, CEO of Castone Co., Ltd., donated 2 million KRW in scholarship funds, which will be meaningfully used to expand the scholarship program and nurture talent.
Chairman Park Hongryul stated, "I sincerely thank the board members who attended the first regular board meeting of the Eulsan year despite their busy schedules. This year as well, we will strive to systematically operate our scholarship programs so that many benefits can be provided to the talented individuals growing up in our region."
Meanwhile, since its establishment in 2008, the Mokpo Talent Development Foundation has provided approximately 6.5 billion KRW in scholarships to over 9,500 recipients, and plans to implement a total of 10 scholarship programs this year, including support for academically outstanding university students from low-income families.
