Tablet Learning App 'Orzo' Operator Sling Reports Fivefold Revenue Increase Year-on-Year Last Year

Achieving an Average Annual Growth Rate of 180% Over Four Years

Edutech company Sling announced that its consolidated sales last year increased by 440% compared to the previous year. The average annual sales growth rate over the past four years reached 180%.


Founded in March 2021, Sling is leading the digitalization of the entire learning process by offering the tablet learning app for middle and high school students, ‘Orzo,’ the learning management solution for schools, academies, and teachers, ‘Orzo Class,’ as well as the AI tutor feature, ‘Orzo AI Coach.’


Last year, Sling’s growth was influenced not only by high school students, the core users of Orzo, but also by a more than threefold increase in middle school users who started using Orzo to prepare for the CSAT and school exams compared to the previous year.

Based on this, Orzo secured an additional 400,000 new users in 2024 alone, surpassing the total number of users acquired previously, achieving a cumulative app download count of 750,000 and over 100 million problem-solving attempts.


This year, Sling plans to continue its growth by providing personalized learning through the advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) learning functions and expanding into various educational market sectors. It already entered the civil service exam market in January and is preparing to enter the global exam market in the first half of the year.


Gangmin Ahn, CEO of Sling, said, “Last year, Orzo established itself as an essential learning app through its convenient and personalized learning experience and Orzo AI Coach, gaining momentum for growth. This year, along with expanding domestic and international exams, we will enhance AI learning functions to provide an innovative learning experience.”
