The Incheon-origin KTX direct connection project is a project that directly connects Eocheon Station (Suin-Bundang Line) in Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province, with the Gyeongbu High-Speed Line.
Once completed, residents in the southwestern metropolitan areas such as Incheon and Ansan will be able to use the KTX without passing through Gwangmyeong Station. It is expected that travel time will be reduced compared to before, and accessibility to Seoul and major cities nationwide will be greatly improved.
The Rail Network Authority is aiming to open the line by the end of 2026. They plan to make every effort to prevent safety accidents and manage the construction process thoroughly.
