Cho Hyun-joon, Chairman of the Hyosung Group, will serve as an inside director of Hyosung Heavy Industries.
Hyosung Heavy Industries announced on the 26th that it will hold its regular shareholders' meeting on the 20th of next month at the Hyosung Building in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
At this shareholders' meeting, the agenda items include ▲approval of the financial statements for the 7th term (January 1, 2024 ? December 31, 2024) ▲appointment of directors and audit committee members ▲approval of the director remuneration limit, among others.
The agenda for director appointments includes the nomination of Cho Hyun-joon, Chairman of Hyosung Group, as an inside director.
The board explained the background for recommending him as an inside director, stating, "Chairman Cho has served as head of the Strategy Headquarters at Hyosung Co., Ltd. and, as Chairman of Hyosung Group, has led proactive investments and the discovery of new growth engines for the group, contributing to global business growth and strengthening responsible management."
It added, "With a management philosophy centered on 'communication,' he is expected to significantly contribute to the company's growth and development by enhancing operational efficiency through fostering employees' empathy with the company's vision and voluntary contribution to achieving goals, and by realizing customer immersion management beyond just the 'Voice of Customer (VOC).'"
Additionally, the appointment proposals for inside director Yokota Takeshi and outside director Choi Yoon-soo were also submitted. Outside director Choi is also planned to be appointed as an audit committee member.
