at U-Square and Gwangju Songjeong Station
Gwangyang City in Jeollanam-do announced on the 26th that the Namdo Hanbaekwi spring theme tour, "Gwangyang Yacht Tour That Captures Your Attention," which features a special and diverse course, is receiving a great response even before its official launch.
The Gwangyang Yacht Tour, which will operate every Thursday starting in March, is a course that adds the romance of yachting to the beautiful forests, rivers, and ports of Gwangyang. Its popularity is proven by the fact that reservations for some dates have already sold out.
The Gwangyang Yacht Tour consists of the following route: U-Square (08:10) ~ Gwangju Songjeong Station (08:40) ~ Baegunsan Natural Recreation Forest ~ Bulgogi Specialty Street (lunch) ~ Mangdeok Port Yacht ~ Namparang-gil Gwangyang Road Course 49 ~ Yun Dongju Manuscript Preservation Jeong Byeonguk House ~ Gwangju Songjeong Station (18:25) ~ U-Square (18:50).
The first stop is Baegunsan Natural Recreation Forest, where you can feel the energy of spring as sap rises in the branches of thousand-year-old trees, followed by lunch at the Gwangyang Bulgogi Specialty Street, where you can choose a meal to suit your taste.
Next, the tour moves to Mangdeok Port, where participants board a yacht to enjoy a cruise along the Seomjin River in the gentle spring breeze, and then walk the "Namparang-gil" Gwangyang Road, which is part of the Korea Dulle-gil southern coast course.
The final stop is the "Yun Dongju Manuscript Preservation Jeong Byeonguk House," where visitors can experience the aura of the space that preserves the poet Yun Dongju's handwritten manuscript, "Sky, Wind, Stars, and Poetry," which shines even brighter as time passes.
The tour fee is 44,900 KRW, including the yacht boarding fee (admission to tourist attractions, travel insurance, meals, etc. are not included). Boarding is available at U-Square Platform 2 or the taxi stand at Gwangju Songjeong Station.
Kim Miran, head of the tourism department, said, "We hope for much interest and participation in the Namdo Hanbaekwi Gwangyang spring theme tour, which will allow you to enjoy the beauty of Gwangyang's forests, rivers, and ports where spring comes first in Korea, as well as the romance of yachting and the lyrical poetry of Yun Dongju."
