Hannam 3 District covers an area of 386,364㎡ at 686 Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, and will feature apartments with up to 22 floors, consisting of 127 buildings and 5,988 households. Yongsan-gu stated, “To prepare for safety accidents during the thawing season, demolition work is being prioritized on high-risk buildings, and starting next month, we will begin installing perimeter fences around the redevelopment zone to control access and prevent safety accidents.”
The district conducted regular safety inspections and joint inspections with external experts within Hannam 3 District to prepare for potential safety accidents during the relocation period following the approval of the management disposition plan. As the number of vacant houses increased, periodic patrols were carried out in cooperation with the association, and joint patrols with Yongsan Police Station and Yongsan Fire Station were strengthened to prevent various crimes and fires.
Additionally, to respond promptly to various issues arising during the relocation process, a cooperative system between the district office and the association was established through the ‘Relocation Management Progress Meeting’ and the ‘Public-Private Communication Meeting.’ As a result, 99.3% of the approximately 8,600 households have completed relocation, and the remaining 60 households are expected to finish relocating within the first half of this year.
District Mayor Park Hee-young said, “We will pay close attention to ensure the safe relocation of every last household,” adding, “We will spare no effort in providing active administrative support to ensure smooth project progress from demolition to completion so that residents can return as soon as possible.”
