A Total of 95 Million KRW Delivered

Gwangju Bank (President Ko Byungil) announced on the 26th that it recently held the "Wear Love for the New Semester" school uniform sponsorship event and delivered a sponsorship fund of 5 million KRW to Nam-gu, Gwangju.
The "Wear Love for the New Semester" school uniform sponsorship project is part of Gwangju Bank's social contribution efforts to support students who face difficulties in purchasing school uniforms and activity uniforms at the start of the new semester.
Ten students in need of school uniform support were selected based on recommendations from Nam-gu, Gwangju, and the bank provided financial assistance for purchasing school uniforms and activity uniforms to these students through the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, offering them hope.
Gwangju Bank's school uniform sponsorship event has continued for ten years since 2016, with a total of 95 million KRW in sponsorship funds delivered so far. In March, the bank also plans to provide sponsorship funds to ten youths in the Buk-gu area.
In addition, through the Gwangju Bank Scholarship Foundation, established in 1981, the bank has provided scholarships worth a total of 3.9 billion KRW to over 4,600 local scholarship recipients. The bank also continues to support local children and youth through projects such as "Hope Blossoming Study Room" (currently 147 branches) and "Hope Blossoming Dream Tree" (currently 12 branches).
Lee Sangchae, Deputy President of Business Division 2, said, "We hope that this sponsorship will help create an environment where local students can focus on their studies," and added, "We will continue to promote various social contribution projects so that local talent can nurture their dreams and hopes."
