Duplex Store to Open in the First Half of the Year
First Case in Domestic Airport Duty-Free Shops
Shinsegae Duty Free announced on the 26th that it has introduced the global luxury brand 'Louis Vuitton' for the first time in seven years since the opening of Incheon Airport Terminal 2. Louis Vuitton has so far pursued a limited duty-free store entry strategy. This entry was achieved through collaboration with Shinsegae Duty Free.
Shinsegae Duty Free first opened the shopping space located on the 3rd floor of Incheon Airport Terminal 2 and plans to complete a duplex store expanded up to the 4th floor within the first half of the year. The Louis Vuitton duplex store is the first of its kind in domestic airport duty-free shops, providing a differentiated experience for tourists enjoying luxury shopping.
The store is decorated with design elements that reinterpret Louis Vuitton’s heritage in a modern way. Within the spacious and sophisticated space, various collections such as Louis Vuitton’s leather goods, accessories, shoes, fine jewelry, and perfumes are available. Signature travel bags for travelers and special products exclusive to airport duty-free shops are also showcased.
Shinsegae Duty Free plans to further strengthen partnerships with global luxury brands. In particular, to establish the Incheon Airport store as a landmark for airport shopping, it will continuously expand its brand portfolio reflecting the latest trends that meet customer needs.
A Shinsegae Duty Free official stated, "The opening of this store with Louis Vuitton will become a new milestone in the duty-free distribution strategies of global luxury brands," adding, "We expect it to play a significant role in expanding individual tourist attraction and the growth of duty-free shops."
