Expansion of Donor Accessibility and Strategic Promotion Expected
Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 26th that it has decided to introduce a private platform for the first time in Gyeongsangnam-do to revitalize fundraising for the Hometown Love Donation Program and signed a fundraising contract with the social enterprise Gonggam Manse.
Fundraising for the Hometown Love Donation Program through private platforms has been continuously suggested by local governments and related experts, and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, after a preparation period starting in August last year, enabled fundraising using private platforms from December.
Geochang-gun quickly responded to the changing system of the Hometown Love Donation Program by being the first in Gyeongnam Province to introduce a private platform. Starting from March 4, donors will be able to contribute to the county not only through the existing ‘Hometown Love e-Um’ but also via ‘Wikib’, expanding donor accessibility. Additionally, by incorporating the know-how of the private platform into fundraising activities, strategic promotion and active fundraising are expected.
Before the operation of the private platform, the county and Gonggam Manse conducted training on private platform gift registration, delivery, and comment management on the 25th for 45 gift suppliers of the Geochang-gun Hometown Love Donation Program.
County Governor Gu In-mo said, “We decided to introduce a private platform to revitalize the Geochang-gun Hometown Love Donation Program, now in its third year, and to enhance convenience for donors,” adding, “We expect that the introduction of the private platform will further activate the Geochang-gun Hometown Love Donation Program and contribute to the local economy and development.”
Meanwhile, Geochang-gun is recruiting additional gifts and suppliers to meet the diverse demands of donors in gift selection. Companies wishing to supply gifts for the Geochang-gun Hometown Love Donation Program can submit applications to the Geochang-gun Strategic Officer from March 12 to March 14.
