Full-scale Consulting Begins March 8
First Round of Applications Open from March 1 to 31
Busan Gijang-gun (Governor Jeong Jong-bok) is officially launching this year's schedule for the "One-on-One Customized Career and College Admission Consulting Support Project," which is conducted for local high school exam candidates and repeat students.
This project is a representative educational support initiative of Gijang-gun aimed at supporting successful college admissions and career paths for local college entrance exam candidates.
In response to the rapidly changing and increasingly complex university admission processes, the project collaborates with the specialized educational institution Jongno Academy to provide customized consulting tailored to each student's individual grades and aptitudes.
Through this project, students receive in-depth counseling from professional consultants and are offered various options regarding their college admissions, while parents can reduce the burden of private education expenses and alleviate concerns about information gaps.
Since launching the project in May last year for local college entrance exam candidates, the target group has been expanded to include students in the first and second years of high school. By conducting differentiated counseling themes according to the timing, covering student records and admission strategies, the project has garnered high satisfaction and positive responses from participating students and parents.
This year's first consulting session will officially begin on March 8, with the first round of participant registration open for 30 days from March 1 to March 31. Eligible applicants include students from the third year of middle school to the first through third years of high school, as well as repeat students (including Nth-year students). Applications can be submitted online or via QR code.
Subsequent consulting sessions will be conducted through one-on-one face-to-face counseling, with students able to choose their preferred method. Each month, counseling themes will be set according to the timing, with student record consulting and admission strategy consulting conducted from the first to the fourth sessions, followed by regular and early admission interview consulting from September to December.
The county will hold parent classes (scheduled for April and July) and admission briefings (scheduled for June and December) to address questions about admissions and provide various information. Notably, starting this year, about 30 students per local high school will be selected for intensive management, strengthening college admission support linked with public education through close collaboration with schools.
Each counseling session takes approximately 40 to 50 minutes, and the venues used are the admission cafe inside Jeonggwan CGV and the conference room (2nd floor) of Gijang-gun Office. The admission cafe operates from Sunday to Thursday, from 5 PM to midnight, while the Gijang-gun Office conference room is open on Tuesdays from 7 PM to 9 PM and Saturdays from 2 PM to 9 PM.
Governor Jeong Jong-bok stated, "Gijang-gun is known as a city with high educational enthusiasm and many outstanding students, but being located on the outskirts of Busan geographically, parents have significant concerns due to disparities in various admission and educational information. We will actively support local students to achieve successful admissions by providing not only diverse admission information but also systematic analysis and counseling on career paths and college admissions."
