Gwangju Bank Opens First Foreign Financial Center in Gwangju and Jeonnam in the Financial Sector

Opened in Heukseok-dong, Gwangsan-gu
Real-time Interpretation and Translation Service System Supporting 38 Languages

Gwangju Bank announced on the 24th that it has opened a Foreigners' Financial Center in Heukseok, Gwangsan, Gwangju.


This center is the first foreigner-exclusive branch in the Gwangju-Jeonnam financial sector, established to meet the financial needs of foreign workers and migrants and to provide customized financial services. It offers simple currency exchange, remittance, deposit, and loan services.


In particular, it was opened in a location easily accessible to foreigners. The Foreign Residents Support Center is located in the same building, and it is situated in Heukseok-dong, Gwangsan-gu, where many foreign workers reside. A real-time interpretation and translation service system supporting 38 languages has been established, and foreign staff from four countries (Vietnam, Indonesia, Nepal, Mongolia) have been assigned to the counters.


Byung-il Ko, President of Gwangju Bank, said, “With the opening of this Foreigners' Financial Center, we expect the accessibility of financial services for foreigners in the Gwangju-Jeonnam region to greatly improve, and we will continue to expand financial services that consider the diversity and inclusiveness of the local community.”
