"Investigation Underway, So No Internal Reporting Channel Established"
The Ministry of National Defense has decided to consider activating an internal reporting channel related to the December 3 emergency martial law.
On the 24th, Jeon Ha-gyu, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, responded to related inquiries during a regular briefing, stating, "Until now, necessary procedures such as investigations by the prosecution and other investigative agencies have been underway, so there has been a lack of means and routes to establish such a channel."
The spokesperson also said, "This is a meaningful matter that we have not been able to address until now," adding, "We will consider it."
Meanwhile, as testimonies from soldiers involved in the incident following the December 3 emergency martial law have begun to emerge sporadically, some have pointed out the need to establish a system within the organization to report such matters.
