Gurye County Urges Residents to Apply for Forestry Direct Payment

Online and Offline Applications Accepted in March and April

Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 24th that applications for the 2025 Forestry and Forest Public Direct Payment (hereinafter referred to as 'Forestry Direct Payment') will be accepted from March 1 to April 30, one month earlier than last year.


The Forestry Direct Payment is a subsidy provided to those engaged in forest product production and silviculture, supporting activities such as producing forest products like jujube, walnut, and chestnut, or managing forests by planting and cultivating trees.

Eligible recipients for forest product production must be forestry workers who have been registered as a forest management entity for forest land from April 1, 2019, to September 30, 2022, have been engaged in forest product production for at least one year (at least 60 days per year) in the previous year, and meet certain qualifications such as having annual forest product sales of at least 1.2 million KRW.


For silviculture, eligible recipients must have received approval for a forest management plan, been registered as a forest management entity for forest land during the same period, have been engaged in silviculture for at least one year (at least 60 days per year) in the previous year, and meet certain qualifications such as having at least 3 hectares of silviculture achievements over the past 10 years.


Online applications can be submitted from March 1 to March 31 through the 'Forestry-in Integrated Portal,' while in-person applications will be accepted from April 1 to April 30 at the town or township office in charge of the forest land location.


County Governor Kim Soonho said, "Last year, 634 forestry workers received a total of 1.124 billion KRW in direct payments," and added, "As the application period has been extended this year, I hope all forestry workers carefully check the qualification requirements and documents to ensure no one misses out on the benefits."
