KT announced on the 24th that it will launch the home smart security camera, ‘KT Homecam Anshim’.
KT Homecam Anshim is a home CCTV that has passed the military-grade encryption standard (AES 256). It blocks external access by restricting connections to authorized users only and enhances security through a privacy mode that limits all functions.
It provides cloud storage service by default, allowing real-time video monitoring, and features AI-based motion and sound detection to save and download specific footage. This can be used not only for childcare and pet care but also to record emergencies involving parents living separately or for real-time security checks in single-person households.
Additionally, it supports two-way communication, enabling calls with family members at home without a mobile phone, and pressing the camera button on the Homecam directly calls a guardian outside. The usage fee is 4,400 KRW per month, and users of KT Internet Essence (1G) or higher can get a discount and use it for 3,300 KRW per month.
