Coinone Unveils Group Real-World Investment Competition 'Guild Wars'

Coinone, a leading domestic specialized virtual asset exchange, announced on the 24th that it will hold 'Guild Wars,' the nation's first group real-world virtual asset investment competition.

Guild Wars is the first team-based virtual asset investment competition in Korea, where investor groups (guilds) compete for investment skills with large-scale prize money. It will be held on the largest scale in Korea, with up to 100 guilds of 100 members each, totaling around 10,000 participants simultaneously. The competition will be operated in seasons. Unlike the existing trading king ranking based on transaction amounts, the ranking is determined by profit rate-based scores, allowing small-scale traders to participate.

Guild Wars Season 1 will take place over two weeks from March 4 to March 17 this year. During the competition period, real-time guild rankings based on the total guild score can be viewed on the Guild Wars page within the Coinone ranking board. The guild score is determined by summing twice the profit rates of the top 20% of guild members and the profit rates of the remaining guild members. Each guild page also allows checking the score contribution of individual guild members.

Before the competition starts, Coinone is recruiting a total of 100 guild leaders to participate in Guild Wars from the 21st to the 25th of this month. Selected applicants will be notified separately based on their trading and community activities within Coinone. From February 27 to March 3, 100 guild members per guild will be recruited.

In Guild Wars Season 1, a total prize of approximately 300 million KRW worth of Bitcoin (BTC) will be awarded. The top 3 guilds in the final ranking will receive BTC worth 100 million KRW, 50 million KRW, and 30 million KRW, respectively. Guild leaders will receive a 2% bonus of the prize money, and the remainder will be distributed to guild members according to their score contributions.

Additionally, all Guild Wars participants and the top 500 new first-time traders by score will receive an extra 10,000 KRW worth of Bitcoin. Furthermore, a prediction betting event for the winning guild will be held for members who do not participate in Guild Wars.
