'Daegu Textile Industry 100 Years and Civic Awareness' Themed Public Debate Held

A Daegu Citizens' Forum on the theme of '100 Years of Daegu's Textile Industry and Civic Consciousness' will be held.


The forum will take place at 2 p.m. on the 26th at the Daegu Textile Museum in Dong-gu, Daegu. It is hosted by Daegu City, organized by the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Local Culture Research Institute, and sponsored by the Daegu Cultural Arts Promotion Agency.

The event will begin with a greeting from Seok Dae-gwon, director of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Local Culture Research Institute, followed by a 50-minute presentation by Park Hee-jin, academic research professor at the Kyungpook National University Institute of Economics and Management.


Following this, a discussion will be held with participants including An Seung-taek, professor of Archaeology and Anthropology at Kyungpook National University; Park Mi-yeon, director of the Daegu Textile Museum; Park Won-ho, director of With the World; and Kim Kyung-ah, CEO of Les Carr?s Rekkare.


The forum will be moderated by Jeong Jae-young, research professor in the Department of Cultural Anthropology at Yeungnam University.
