Current Value Exceeds 15.5 Billion KRW Considering Surrounding Market Prices
Actress Shin Min-a is analyzed to have earned at least 10 billion KRW in capital gains after purchasing an old house in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, seven years ago, demolishing it, and converting the site into a parking lot.
According to Building Road Real Estate Brokerage Corporation on the 23rd, Shin purchased an old two-story house with a land area of approximately 340㎡ (103 pyeong) in Hangangno 2-ga, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, in January 2008 for 5.55 billion KRW. Considering the maximum bond amount of 3.36 billion KRW, the loan principal is estimated at 2.8 billion KRW, and about 2.75 billion KRW, roughly half of the total purchase price, is presumed to have been paid in cash.
The purchased site is a 2-minute walk from Exit 3 of Samgakji Station, a transfer station for Lines 4 and 6. It is also within walking distance to Sinyongsan Station, where large corporations such as Amorepacific and HYBE, the agency of BTS, are located.

Shin demolished the house and fence on the property and currently operates it as a parking lot. A representative from Building Road Real Estate Brokerage Corporation analyzed that considering the surrounding market prices, the current value reaches approximately 15.525 billion KRW.
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Shin has been donating annually to the Hallim Burn Foundation since 2015, attracting public attention. The cumulative donation amount is 1 billion KRW, and 201 burn patients have received treatment through this support.
In addition to donations, Shin sends handwritten letters and gifts every year to pediatric patients hospitalized at Hallim Daehangang Seongsim Hospital, a burn specialty hospital operated by the Hallim Burn Foundation.
Furthermore, she has continuously donated to various causes, including support projects for study room teachers for underprivileged children, heating cost assistance for elderly living alone, support for North Korean defector women and children, and aid for COVID-19 damage, wildfires, and flood damage. For these efforts, Shin received the ‘Good People Artist Award’ at the 14th Beautiful Artist Awards ceremony held last year.
