This national land cleanup was organized to maintain cleanliness and build a positive image of Yangsan-si and Wondong-myeon for tourists visiting the Wondong Minari Festival, which begins on the 22nd.

Despite the cold weather, about 70 participants, including members of the Wondong-myeon Village Leaders' Association, Saemaeul Leaders' Association, Saemaeul Women's Association, and the Residents' Autonomy Committee, actively engaged in environmental maintenance activities such as collecting various trash and removing weeds and tree branches around the festival venue and Wondong Station.

In particular, through the people gathered for the national land cleanup, they urged residents to participate and show interest so that a clean Wondong-myeon can attract more tourists, leading to regional revitalization and a cleaner Yangsan-si.

Kim Misun, head of Wondong-myeon, expressed her thoughts, saying, “Despite the cold weather and the difficulty of recruiting people due to the small population of Wondong-myeon, I am deeply grateful to many who attended and contributed to the environmental cleanup. I hope this event will be held monthly to make Wondong-myeon an even better and more pleasant place to live.”
