Gwangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Bang Se-hwan) held the 1st On-the-Go Municipal Issues Talk Concert on the 20th at the audiovisual room of Chowol Library with over 160 residents from Chowol-eup, Gonjiam-eup, and Docheok-myeon.

According to Gwangju City on the 21st, the talk concert was hosted by MC Jo Young-gu, the city’s ambassador, and was organized to share the vision for Gwangju’s future and discuss regional development plans and major issues with residents from the respective areas who had applied to participate in advance via SNS.


Gwangju City received over 100 inquiries in advance, reflecting the high interest of local residents in municipal affairs.


Among them, Mayor Bang directly responded to questions on commonly raised topics such as transportation, living environment improvements, and cultural facilities, engaging in communication with the citizens on site. He also attentively listened to additional random questions from attendees during the event.


Mayor Bang Se-hwan said, "Through the first-ever 'On-the-Go Municipal Issues Talk Concert,' I was able to feel the residents’ strong interest in municipal affairs and their passionate commitment to regional development. I would like to thank everyone who attended. I will carefully consider all the comments made today and deeply contemplate ways to improve citizens’ inconveniences, and will move forward more vigorously for the sustainable development of Chowol-eup, Gonjiam-eup, and Docheok-myeon."


Meanwhile, Gwangju City is promoting various customized projects suited to the characteristics of the region to enhance residents’ convenience and infrastructure in the three areas, including △ the construction of the Chowol Sports and Culture Complex Center △ the Chowol and Gonjiam Station Area Urban Development Project △ the establishment of the Eastern Region Senior Welfare Town △ the expansion and supply project of waterworks in areas vulnerable to water supply △ the maintenance project of the Living Sports Park △ and the development of facilities such as Yujeong Lake Trail and Taehwa Mountain Infant Forest Experience Center.
