First Match at Modeok Sports Park in Jinju
Facing Jinju Citizen Football Club
Busan Gijang-gun will hold the debut match of the ‘Gijang Gunmin Football Club’ in the K4 League on the 22nd at Modeok Sports Park (located in Jinju-si, Gyeongnam).
The ‘Gijang Gunmin Football Club’ is a key sports project promoted by Gijang-gun to revitalize community sports and boost local pride.
Recently, the county completed the establishment of the football club, consisting of Gijang-gun Governor Jeong Jong-bok as the club owner, three coaches, and 28 players, and will face the strong K4 League team ‘Jinju Citizen Football Club’ in their first match.
Starting with this debut match, the ‘Gijang Gunmin Football Club’ will officially begin its activities in the K4 League as the representative football club of Gijang-gun. Following the slogan ‘FOR THE FUTURE, GIJANG,’ the club plans to give their all in every game to grow and breathe together with the people of Gijang-gun and the future.
Governor Jeong Jong-bok said, “Since this match is the first step for the football club to represent Gijang-gun, I hope the players confidently run across the field until the final whistle and gain valuable experience,” adding, “We will spare no effort in actively supporting the Gijang Gunmin Football Club to raise the pride and status of the county residents.”
The first home game of the Gijang Gunmin Football Club is scheduled for March 30, drawing great expectations and interest from local residents and football fans.
