Canon Korea (CEO Park Jung-woo) and GI Group Holdings (CEO Lee Sung-hyung) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate in the medical business and maximize synergy. This agreement was primarily conducted through GI Group Holdings' subsidiary and hospital management support company, GI MSO, and aims to provide differentiated solutions by combining medical device and medical supplies supply with medical service operation capabilities.
The MOU signing ceremony took place on February 19 at the GI Group Holdings headquarters, where both companies agreed to strengthen strategic cooperation in expanding medical supplies and support for medical institutions. Through this, they plan to promote technological innovation within the medical industry and offer customized solutions optimized for hospitals and medical institutions.
In particular, GI MSO, which plays a key role in this agreement, has strengths in hospital management operations and medical service optimization. Additionally, by leveraging the medical network operating Ruby Plastic Surgery and Ruby Clinic Yangjae, they plan to further enhance collaboration with hospitals and medical institutions. This aims not only to improve hospital operational efficiency but also to provide patient-centered differentiated medical services.
A Canon Korea representative stated, “We expect this agreement to realize technological innovation and service improvement in the medical field,” adding, “We will continue to cooperate to ensure that the collaboration between the two companies contributes to enhancing the quality of medical services and the development of the industry.”
A GI Group Holdings representative also said, “We will create new value in the medical industry by utilizing the technologies and networks possessed by both companies,” and “We will strive to improve the quality of medical services through joint research and business development in the future.”
Through this collaboration, Canon Korea and GI Group Holdings are expected to create new synergies in the medical business sector and take the lead in providing innovative patient-centered medical services.
