Project Briefing Session Scheduled for March 13
The Korea Technology Finance Corporation (Kibo) announced on the 21st that it is recruiting personnel to participate in the 'Technology Transaction Supporters' and institutions to participate in the 'Innovation Brokerage Promotion Support Project.'
Kibo is the dedicated agency operating the Small and Medium Business Technology Transaction Activation Support Project implemented by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS). Through this recruitment, it plans to select personnel to participate as Technology Transaction Supporters and private technology transaction institutions to participate in the Innovation Brokerage Promotion Support Project.
The Technology Transaction Supporters system registers personnel belonging to partner organizations that have contact points with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) as supporters. When a company discovered by these supporters concludes a technology transfer contract, a reward is paid. The demand company information secured by the supporters is disclosed to private technology transaction institutions. If a technology transfer contract is concluded, the supporter receives a technology transfer reward of either 20% of the brokerage fee or 100,000 KRW, whichever is greater. Even if the contract is not concluded, supporters who actively discover demand will be given an excellent activity reward.
The Innovation Brokerage Promotion Support Project is a system that provides support funds for technology transfer contracts concluded through joint brokerage between Kibo and private technology transaction institutions, targeting cases where brokerage fee settlements have been completed. Depending on the technology fee bracket, up to 4 million KRW in innovation brokerage promotion support funds are provided. Through this, Kibo plans to actively support the creation of a public-private cooperative technology transaction market and the expansion of private technology transaction institutions' market participation.
Kim Jong-ho, Chairman of Kibo, said, "Kibo supports customized technology matching services so that small and medium venture companies can adopt promising commercialization technologies." He added, "We will continue to take the lead in laying the foundation for activating technology transactions, build a self-sustaining ecosystem of an open technology innovation market, and do our best to foster a private-centered technology transaction market."
Meanwhile, detailed information about this project and application methods can be found in the project announcements posted on Kibo's official website and Smart Tech Bridge. The project briefing session will be held on March 13 at the D.CAMP Seolleung 6th floor multipurpose hall.
