Verdict Likely to Be Delivered in Mid-March
The Constitutional Court will conclude the oral arguments for President Yoon Seok-yeol's impeachment trial on the 25th. The decision on whether to remove President Yoon is expected to be announced around mid-next month.

Moon Hyung-bae, Acting Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, concluded the 10th oral argument session of President Yoon's impeachment trial held on the 20th by stating, "The next session will be at 2 p.m. on February 25," and added, "We will hear the comprehensive arguments from both parties' representatives and the final statements from the parties involved." This comes 73 days after the National Assembly passed the impeachment motion against President Yoon on December 14 last year.
Acting Chief Justice Moon said, "Each side's comprehensive argument will be allotted two hours," and "There will be no time limit for the final statements by the prosecutors and the respondent." Both President Yoon's side and the National Assembly accepted this decision without any significant objections.
It is expected to take about two weeks from the conclusion of the oral arguments to the verdict, assuming no other variables arise. In previous impeachment trials of former presidents, former President Roh Moo-hyun's verdict was delivered 14 days after the conclusion of oral arguments, and former President Park Geun-hye's verdict was delivered after 11 days.
