Kim Sung-tae Points to Kim Yong-hyun, Lee Sang-min, and Lee Cheol-gyu as "Traitorous Scoundrels"
"One of the Traitorous Scoundrels Has Sent a Complaint"
Former People Power Party lawmaker Kim Sung-tae revealed that he has been sued for defamation, saying, "A complaint has come from one of the traitors." Kim had criticized Kim Yong-hyun, former Minister of National Defense and close aide to President Yoon Suk-yeol, Lee Sang-min, former Minister of the Interior and Safety, and Lee Cheol-gyu, People Power Party lawmaker, as "traitorous scoundrels."
On the 18th, Kim posted on his Facebook, "'Traitor' was called 'traitor,' and it is said that the traitor's honor was damaged," adding, "This is a complaint sent by one of the parties I pointed out as the 'three traitorous scoundrels (Kim Yong-hyun, Lee Sang-min, Lee Cheol-gyu)."
He also added, "As a senior who once served as the deputy floor leader during the same party's floor leader period, I feel devastated and heartbroken beyond words." Although Kim did not directly mention Lee, it is interpreted as targeting him.
Earlier, Kim criticized former Minister Kim and former Minister Lee, as well as lawmaker Lee, as the "three traitorous scoundrels" on last month's CBS Radio program 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show.' In particular, Kim pointed at Lee, saying, "He is one of the main culprits who ruined the last general election," and added, "'President, please leave it to me,' while running his own business."
Kim questioned, "I wonder if he still had any honor left to be damaged," and said, "If his honor was so important, why did he not think of protecting his honor before history and the people? It is regrettable, pathetic, and sad."
He continued, "What I demanded was 'shame,'" and said, "Why couldn't he tell the president, 'You shouldn't do that'? While currying favor with power, as one of the main culprits who ruined the last general election, I cannot help but ask what he was trying to gain."
He urged, "I hope he first reflects on his actions and appearance, which seem to have abandoned both honor and shame," and said, "Witnessing this situation where the country has fallen into ruin at once, and the painstakingly built tower of democratization collapses overnight, yet he cannot tolerate even a scratch on his petty pride and reacts angrily, I cannot help but feel unbearable anger first."
