Former national rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae donated 100 million won to Severance Hospital to celebrate her son's first birthday.

Son Yeon-jae's agency, The Seed Company, announced on the 17th, "Son Yeon-jae recently donated 100 million won to the obstetrics and gynecology and neonatology departments at Severance Hospital."

Previously, Son Yeon-jae donated 50 million won from her wedding congratulatory money to Severance Children's Hospital. After giving birth to her son in 2024, she also donated 100 million won to the obstetrics and gynecology department at Severance Hospital.

Through her experiences with childbirth and parenting, Son Yeon-jae expressed gratitude for the hard work of medical staff treating mothers and children in the obstetrics and pediatrics departments in several interviews. She said, "I realized that much support is needed for a better medical environment."

Son Yeon-jae, who married a financier nine years her senior in 2022, welcomed her son in February last year. She is currently active as the CEO of Reef Studio, discovering and nurturing young rhythmic gymnastics talents.
