Appointment of 3 Kindergarten, 24 Elementary, and 79 Secondary School Teachers
The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Cheon Chang-su) announced the appointment of 106 new teachers for kindergartens, elementary and secondary schools, and special schools as of March 1 on the 17th.
With this appointment, 3 new teachers were assigned to kindergartens. In elementary schools, 24 teachers were assigned, including 16 elementary teachers, 3 special education teachers, 3 health teachers, 1 nutrition teacher, and 1 professional counseling teacher.
There are 79 new secondary school teachers assigned: 21 to high schools, 28 to middle schools under the jurisdiction of the Gangbuk Education Support Office, 24 to middle schools under the jurisdiction of the Gangnam Education Support Office, 4 to special schools, and 2 to the High School Credit System Support Center.
The placement of new teachers was comprehensively considered based on the appointment candidate list, including preferred work locations and residential bases. The final assigned schools will be individually notified to the successful candidates and can also be confirmed on the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education website.
The new teacher appointment ceremony will be held on the 24th at 10 a.m. in the Oesol Conference Room of the Ulsan Office of Education. On this day, Superintendent Cheon Chang-su will attend to present appointment certificates to the new teachers and conduct the oath-taking ceremony.
Superintendent Cheon Chang-su said, “I sincerely congratulate you on taking your first step as teachers responsible for the future of children in the Ulsan education field after a long period of learning and training,” and added, “I hope you will cooperate with fellow teachers in the school field and practice student-centered classes.”
