Will Promote the City Widely After Experiencing Life in Yeoju for Over a Year

Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Chung-woo) announced on the 17th that it appointed singer Hye-eun Lee as an ambassador ahead of the proclamation of the Year of Tourism on the 14th.

Singer Hye-eun Lee debuted in 1975 with the mega-hit song "You Wouldn't Know," and since then, she has recorded a series of hits with songs such as "Really Really Like You," "Ddui Ddui Bbang Bbang," "I Only Love You," "Gamsugwang," "The Third Hangang Bridge," and "Dawn Rain," becoming the top singer in 1977 and 1979. In the 1980s, she continued her steady activities by releasing numerous hit songs including "Monologue," "Little Lady," and "Blue Country," as well as 21 full-length albums, digital singles, and drama OSTs to date.


In particular, she appeared on KBS's "Park Won-sook's Let's Live Together - Yeoju Edition" for about a year from 2023 to 2024, introducing every corner of Yeoju on the broadcast and forming a strong bond with the city.


Mayor Lee Chung-woo of Yeoju said, "I feel very honored to have a continuing relationship through broadcasting with Hye-eun Lee, one of the legends of our Korean music industry, and to welcome her as an ambassador." He added, "We look forward to her more active activities in Yeoju as we approach the proclamation of the Year of Tourism in Yeoju in 2025."
