Up to 300 Million KRW Support for Detailed Design Consulting
and Low-Carbon Facility Introduction Costs
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small and Medium Business Corporation announced on the 17th that they are recruiting participating companies for the '2025 SME Carbon Neutral Facility Investment Support Project.'
The SME Carbon Neutral Facility Investment Support is a project that supports the introduction of facilities with high energy efficiency or those that reduce carbon emissions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from SMEs and strengthen their ability to respond to global carbon regulations.
Any SME can apply, and companies that export to countries considering the introduction of carbon border tax and companies engaged in high carbon-emission industries such as primary metal manufacturing and fabricated metal product manufacturing will receive additional points when applying.
In this recruitment, target companies will be selected by dividing into a basic track (around 75 companies) for SMEs starting carbon neutrality practices and an advanced track (around 5 companies) for companies that have participated in the carbon-neutral smart factory dissemination project and received a rating of ‘Intermediate 1’ or higher. Both tracks support up to 300 million KRW per company for facility introduction costs, with a government subsidy rate of up to 50% for the basic track and up to 70% for the advanced track.
In particular, this year, the list of carbon reduction facilities has been expanded to include equipment using refrigerants with low Global Warming Potential (GWP), and the preferential support industries for high carbon emissions have been expanded to include electrical equipment manufacturing and textile product manufacturing, providing broader support.
