Gwangju Dong-gu (District Chief Lim Taek) announced on the 16th that a meeting was recently held to encourage young entrepreneurs participating in the 'Vacant House Youth Startup Filling Project'.

The 'Vacant House Youth Startup Filling Project' is a program that invested approximately 1 billion KRW over five years, from 2020 to last year, in the Gyerim 1-dong and Chungjang-ro 4 and 5-ga areas, providing vacant houses in the old downtown to young entrepreneurs.

Through this project, a total of 30 startups were supported with startup spaces and business funds, helping them realize their dreams and contributing to revitalizing the local economy.

At the meeting, young entrepreneurs shared their experiences and ideas, gaining new motivation and energy from one another.

Dong-gu plans to systematically support young entrepreneurs by discovering subsidy programs and building networks using local youth facilities.

Lim Taek, Chief of Dong-gu District, said, "Entrepreneurship is not only about realizing an individual's dream, but also serves as a key driving force for the local economy and society," adding, "We will continue to provide unwavering support so that young entrepreneurs taking their first steps in Dong-gu can grow and leap forward."
