A bomb attack occurred in the southwestern region of Pakistan, killing more than 10 people. Although the exact perpetrators have not yet emerged, it is presumed to be the act of an armed group advocating separatist independence.
According to Geo News, a local Pakistani media outlet, on the morning of the 14th, a vehicle carrying mine workers exploded in the Harnai area of Balochistan province, Pakistan, resulting in at least 11 deaths and 6 injuries.
According to Pakistani police authorities, the vehicle was passing on the road when a homemade bomb planted on the road exploded. The Balochistan provincial government is concerned that the number of deaths may increase as many of the injured are in serious condition.
Although the perpetrators of the bomb attack have not yet appeared, it is presumed that regional armed groups such as the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), which advocates separatist independence within Balochistan, carried out the attack. This group has opposed China's Belt and Road Initiative (land and maritime Silk Road) projects in Balochistan province and has previously carried out attacks targeting Chinese workers involved in infrastructure projects.
