In particular, the number of works submitted from Japan increased by 54 compared to last year, reaching a total of 86. In addition, unique works from countries such as China (88 works) and Ukraine (9 works) were submitted, demonstrating that the Korea Pressed Flower Art Exhibition has established itself as a global platform for the exchange of pressed flower art.
The county conducted the first round of judging on March 11 for overseas works received via email, and 48 of these passed the screening. The physical works that passed the first round will be collected by March 14, and the second round of judging is scheduled for March 18.
The county will select the final award-winning works and exhibit them at the Korea Pressed Flower Museum for one year.
County Governor Kim Soonho said, "Interest in pressed flower art is growing around the world," and added, "We hope that this competition will once again confirm the infinite possibilities and charm of pressed flower art."
Meanwhile, the domestic section of the pressed flower art exhibition and the preserved flower submissions will be accepted for ten days starting from March 1.
