The Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundations of Dong-A University and Dongseo University held the ‘Glocal University 30 Sustainable Revenue-Type Integrated Industrial Complex 1st Year Performance Report Meeting’ at the Signiel Busan Hotel in Haeundae-gu, Busan on the 10th.

This event, organized to report on the first-year performance of the Glocal University 30 project, share plans for the second year, and gather opinions from members to achieve the project goals, was attended by Choi Jeong-ho, head of Dong-A University’s Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, Hwang Gi-hyun, head of Dongseo University’s Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, and related personnel from industry-academic cooperation departments.
The event proceeded in the following order: △ Interim report and Q&A on consulting for establishing an industry-academic cooperation strategy to implement Glocal University 30 △ Report on the first-year performance of Glocal University 30 △ Sharing of Glocal University 30 promotion strategy following the transition to the RISE system △ Sharing of the second-year implementation plan for Glocal University 30 △ Collection of member opinions to achieve the project goals of Glocal University 30 △ Direction for the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation’s work and collection of other suggestions.
Choi Jeong-ho, head of Dong-A University’s Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation (Chairman of the Revenue-Type Integrated Industrial Complex Establishment Promotion Committee), said, “Through the Glocal project of the combined universities Dong-A and Dongseo, an integrated industrial complex utilizing the strengths of each university is expected to be born,” adding, “The integrated industrial complex will proactively connect corporate needs with faculty, transforming into a corporate-type industrial complex.”
The Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundations of Dong-A University and Dongseo University are promoting ‘securing sustainable finances based on a revenue-type integrated industry-academic cooperation foundation’ as a core task of the Glocal University 30 project. The integrated industrial complex, scheduled to be established in 2026, plans to promote the spread of practical technology commercialization achievements centered on the combined universities based on a business model supporting commercialization.
