Icheon City and Education Office Invest 3.9 Billion Won in 26 Future Cooperative Education District Projects

Promotion of Global Future Talent Development and Educational Community Projects

Gyeonggi-do Icheon City and the Icheon Office of Education have agreed to invest a total budget of over 3.9 billion KRW this year to promote 26 'Future Cooperation Education District' projects.


On the 14th, Icheon City announced that on the 13th, it signed a supplementary agreement with the Icheon Office of Education to promote the '2025 Icheon Future Education Cooperation District Project.'

This supplementary agreement is a follow-up measure to the 'Icheon Future Education Cooperation District Business Agreement' signed in 2023 between the city and the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education. Both organizations have been promoting the Icheon Future Education Cooperation District project for three years from March 2023 to February 2026.


According to this supplementary agreement, a total budget of 3.982 billion KRW will be invested in this project, including 3.482 billion KRW from Icheon City and 500 million KRW from the Icheon Office of Education.


This year, the Icheon Future Education Cooperation District project will be promoted in line with the goals of ▲ nurturing glocal future talents based on regionally customized distinctive education ▲ creating an educational community that grows together through the activation of educational autonomy ▲ establishing a harmoniously growing educational ecosystem through community-linked education.


To this end, the two organizations will implement 26 detailed projects, including 9 projects in the fields of regional distinctive education, cultural arts education, and sustainable education; 8 projects in dream-building education, educational platforms, and character-warm (On溫) education; and 9 projects in regional educational infrastructure expansion, solid customized education, and career education.
