Logo to Be Incorporated into Government Documents in the First Half of the Year

The Korea Aerospace Administration (KASA) has completed the design of its emblem (logo), and commemorative items featuring the logo are expected to be released as early as next month.

On the 14th, during the '3rd Space Development Promotion Working Committee' meeting, KASA reviewed the agenda on the introduction and utilization plans of the agency's emblem (logo) and announced that it will be finalized through deliberation and resolution by the National Space Committee in the future.

KASA formed an advisory committee consisting of seven experts in design and aerospace fields and selected a logo production company last September to reflect the agency's identity and uniqueness and enhance its domestic and international image. After gathering internal and external opinions and holding four meetings, the logo design was completed.

The KASA logo uses the initials 'KASA' from the English name 'Korea AeroSpace Administration.' The letter 'K' represents the Republic of Korea, and the red curve of the 'K' symbolizes the trajectory of a launch vehicle, expressing the leap and infinite expansion potential of Korea's aerospace industry.

The red 'star(?)' represents the aerospace achievements and future vision that Korea will accomplish. The overall font design reflects the solidity of a launch pad, conveying firmness, stability, and reliability.

KASA has completed consultations with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the supervising ministry, and institutions excluded from government symbols to officially utilize the logo and plans to use it in various promotional materials.

Next month, KASA will first apply the logo to commemorative items and business cards, and depending on budget conditions and consultations with related ministries, it will gradually expand the scope of application alongside existing government symbols. KASA explained, "Within the first half of the year, we plan to incorporate the logo into government official document forms, certificates of commendation and appointment, badges such as ID cards, promotional materials like brochures and banners, as well as the website and online channels."

Meanwhile, at the working committee meeting, three major sector promotion strategies related to space transportation, satellites, and space science exploration by KASA, aimed at realizing the 'Top 5 Aerospace Power' announced at the 1st National Space Committee in May last year, were also reviewed.

Yoon Young-bin, Administrator of KASA, said, "Based on the strategies and business plans presented today, I hope Korea's space development will achieve a great leap never seen before," and added, "I ask the members of the Space Development Promotion Working Committee to watch with interest and support us throughout this process."
