Sales Begin at Directly Operated Store in Tokyo from the 14th
Preliminary Quality Evaluation Conducted with 300 Japanese Consumers
Signature Menu Achieves 90% Customer Satisfaction
Mom's Touch's pizza brand, 'Mom's Pizza,' announced on the 14th that it has started its pizza business in Japan through 'Shibuya Mom's Touch,' a directly operated store in Tokyo.
Launched in 2023, this is the first time 'Mom's Pizza' has expanded overseas.
The main menu items are the 'Ssai Pizza,' topped with 100% boneless chicken thigh meat, and the 'Teriyaki Ssai Pizza,' localized by incorporating teriyaki sauce. In a preliminary product evaluation conducted with 300 local Japanese customers, over 90% praised the pizzas for their stunning visuals and taste, which had never been seen in the Japanese pizza market.
Along with these, they sell 'K-Sweet Potato Pizza,' 'K-Real Bulgogi Pizza,' and 'K-Combination Pizza.' Considering Japan's high proportion of single-person households, they plan to operate slice pizza menus and adopt sales strategies that align with Japan's 'kospa' (cost + performance) consumption trends.
Mom's Touch expects that this entry of Mom's Pizza into Japan will help expand franchise stores in key commercial areas of Tokyo. Based on the successful experience of launching over 150 stores in a short period since 2023 through the shop-in-shop startup model within domestic Mom's Touch stores, they plan to upgrade local franchise competitiveness by broadening customers' menu choices and providing stable additional sales to franchisees through synergy effects.
A representative of Mom's Pizza said, "As we introduce our brand to the Japanese market, which is a barren land for Korean-style pizza, we will increase repurchase rates among local consumers with Mom's Pizza's differentiated products and reasonable prices that have never been seen in the existing Japanese pizza market. Together with Mom's Touch, which has already settled in the local market, we will do our best to stabilize the initial phase aiming to become the representative K-food brand in the Japanese market, covering burgers, chicken, and pizza."
