Figure skater Kim Chaeyeon (Surigo High School) won the gold medal in the women's singles at the 2025 Harbin Winter Asian Games.
On the 13th, Kim Chaeyeon scored a total of 147.56 points in the women's singles free skating held at the Heilongjiang Ice Training Center Multipurpose Hall in Harbin, China, combining a technical score (TES) of 79.07 and a program component score (PCS) of 68.49.

With a short program score of 71.88 points, Kim Chaeyeon achieved a final total score of 219.44 points, surpassing Kaori Sakamoto (Japan, 211.90 points) to win the championship.
This is the fourth time a Korean figure skater has won a medal at the Asian Games, following Yang Taehwa and Lee Cheongun (ice dance bronze) at the 1999 Gangwon Games, Kwak Minjung (women's singles bronze) at the 2011 Almaty Games, and Choi Da-bin (women's singles gold) at the 2017 Sapporo Games.
Korea has now increased its gold medal count to 14 at this competition.
