Due to the 'Textheap' craze... Hyundai Livart student furniture sales up 282%

Sales Increase Every Month Since Rito Launch in November Last Year
"Launching Customizable Products Reflecting Trends"

The 'text-hip' trend is driving strong sales growth in student furniture. Taking advantage of learning-related trends, parents are quickly moving to create study rooms to help their children improve concentration.

Hyundai Livart announced on the 13th that sales of its new student furniture product 'Rito,' launched in November last year, have more than doubled every month. Last month, product sales increased by 282% compared to the previous month. Sales of Hyundai Livart's entire student furniture line also showed double-digit growth in the fourth quarter of last year compared to the previous year.

A Hyundai Livart official explained, "As the text-hip trend spreads, ahead of the new semester, more parents are looking for student bookshelves and desks to create study rooms where their children can feel interested in learning and concentrate."

Text-hip is a newly coined term combining 'hip,' meaning unique and trendy, and 'text.' The act of posting reading verification photos after reading books or sharing one’s 'chaekku' (decorating books with stickers, etc.) on social media has become a form of play, gaining popularity among people in their teens and twenties since last year.

Another factor behind the sales increase is product design differentiation aligned with the text-hip trend. Hyundai Livart's Rito is a study set consisting of student desks, bookshelves, and drawers optimized for both learning and digital device use, developed to suit the digital learning environment.

Hyundai Livart plans to continuously expand its student furniture lineup to reflect personal tastes in line with social trends. A company representative said, "We plan to launch customizable study rooms where various components from different study series can be freely combined, allowing tailored children's rooms according to usage and personality by age group."
