Chungnam Province will conduct a comprehensive survey and maintenance of all address information facilities within the province and assign detailed addresses to multi-family housing and similar buildings, aiming to improve navigation convenience for visitors during the 'Visit Chungnam Years' of 2025?2026.
According to the province on the 12th, the address information facilities to be surveyed include: 81,351 road name signs, 10,415 basic number plates, 492,736 building number plates, 575 address information guide boards, 8,852 national point numbers, and 18,110 object address plates.
Through this comprehensive maintenance, the province plans to inspect the loss or damage of facilities, installation locations, visibility, and appropriateness of displayed information to ensure that visitors to Chungnam Province experience no inconvenience in finding their way.
The province aims to complete the survey in the first half of the year and install new address information facilities in areas where expansion is needed in the second half. Facilities that are lost or damaged will be reinstalled, with maintenance and repairs prioritized as necessary.
With this comprehensive survey, the province expects to enhance the convenience of location finding for address users, improve urban aesthetics, and prevent safety accidents.
Im Taekbin, Director of Land Management, said, "In celebration of the 2025?2026 Visit Chungnam Years, we will continue to improve the functionality and durability of address information facilities to establish a stable address utilization system," adding, "We will do our best in maintenance so that visitors can easily find their way and take away pleasant memories of a comfortable trip within the province."
