Gwangju Seo-gu to Operate 'Pothole Emergency Repair Team' Until the 15th of Next Month

Seo-gu District in Gwangju will operate an 'Emergency Pothole Repair Team' until the 15th of next month.

According to Seo-gu on the 12th, this emergency repair team was launched to minimize safety accidents and vehicle damage caused by potholes (road surface depressions) that have occurred frequently due to heavy snowfall and rain during the winter season.

The emergency repair team, consisting of three groups and seven members, will not only check and immediately repair potholes on the roads, but also inspect and fix any damage to road facilities such as ground subsidence. In addition, sections where potholes occur frequently or in large numbers will be resurfaced with a separate budget.

Lee Seunggu, head of the Construction Division, stated, "Potholes not only reduce vehicle driving efficiency but can also cause traffic accidents and property damage. We will focus our administrative efforts on minimizing inconvenience and damage to Seo-gu residents through proactive measures."

Reports of inconvenience caused by potholes are also being received through the Construction Division of Seo-gu District Office, the Safety Sinmungo, and Munjaharangke.
