Faced with pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump to 'accept Palestinian residents,' Egypt announced on the 11th (local time) that it will "present a comprehensive Gaza reconstruction plan."

According to AFP, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a late-day release that it hopes to cooperate with the Trump administration aiming for a fair resolution of the Palestinian issue.

The comprehensive reconstruction plan will "clearly and firmly guarantee that Palestinians can remain on their land and will align with their legitimate rights," the Ministry explained.

This statement came just one day after President Donald Trump said that if Egypt and Jordan do not cooperate with his plan to place Gaza under U.S. authority and relocate Palestinians from the area, aid to those countries could be cut off.

From the content of Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement, it appears that despite President Trump’s pressure, Egypt reiterates its refusal to accept the relocation of Gaza residents and seeks a compromise solution.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi also urged the reconstruction of Gaza without relocation during a phone call with the Danish Prime Minister on the same day, emphasizing that Palestinians must be able to live on their land. According to materials released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs related to the presidential office, both sides agreed on the full implementation of the three phases of the ceasefire agreement, the exchange of hostages and detainees, and the immediate and smooth provision of humanitarian aid within Gaza to resolve the issue.

Egypt and Denmark agreed that Gaza should be rebuilt without forced displacement of Palestinian residents, ensuring their rights and life on their land. Egypt also reported that both countries concurred that establishing an independent Palestinian state is the only way to guarantee sustainable peace, stability, and economic prosperity.

President Trump’s 'Gaza plan' was first revealed on the 4th (local time). After a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on the 4th, Trump stated at a press conference that Palestinians in Gaza should be resettled outside of Gaza and declared that "the United States will take over Gaza."
