Samsung Electronics is launching a new 55-inch OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) TV with significantly enhanced AI (Artificial Intelligence) features.
On the 12th, Samsung Electronics released the new 55-inch OLED TV model (55SF85) in the domestic market to target the Korean OLED TV market. It is notable for incorporating numerous new AI features in Samsung TVs for 2025.
The 2025 Samsung OLED TV is equipped with the 'AI Smart Home' feature, which comprehensively analyzes the user's lifestyle patterns, the status of home devices, weather, and indoor temperature to suggest actions tailored to the user's lifestyle and home environment. For example, it recommends operating an air purifier when indoor air quality is poor or closing blinds to improve cooling efficiency when the air conditioner is running.
A new 'Home Monitoring' feature has also been introduced. Based on on-device AI, it uses the TV’s sensors and camera to provide real-time alerts about home security status. If unusual movement is detected while the TV is off, an alert is sent to the user’s mobile device or another TV.

Pressing the newly added AI button on the 2025 TV remote activates the 'Click to Search' function, which recommends programs similar to the content being watched or provides information about characters. Using Click to Search allows all processes to be done on the TV screen with a single remote button without opening a separate search window or using a mobile device, enabling users to obtain information without interrupting their viewing flow.
'Real-time Translation' is a feature that converts subtitles of the content being watched into the user’s desired language. It allows viewers to watch foreign dramas or documentaries by converting English subtitles into Korean or translating Korean subtitles into other languages, enabling global content to be enjoyed without language barriers.
When using 'AI Mode,' the AI recognizes the genre of the content being watched?such as movies, sports, or general programming?and provides customized picture quality. It analyzes the brightness of the content and the surrounding environment to adjust the screen to an optimized brightness. Additionally, the AI separates and extracts the content’s sound into dialogue, music, and sound effects, then optimizes each sound according to the indoor environment and content characteristics.
This new OLED TV model can be purchased through the 'AI All-in-One' plan of the 'AI Subscription Club.' Including card benefits, Samsung AI TVs can be purchased for an affordable monthly fee in the 10,000 KRW range, and the free repair service period is extended to five years. The 2025 Samsung OLED (55SF85) TV has a retail price of 2.19 million KRW and is available on Samsung.com and Coupang. Samsung Electronics is holding the 'Samsung OLED Sale Festa' at Samsung Store until the 28th of this month.
