"Expecting Improved Efficiency in Self-Built Car Welding Operations"
Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) announced that its self-built car club, ‘Dong-A Automobile Research Society,’ has signed a technical education agreement with National System, a welding machine manufacturing specialist company.
National System NSWEL is a welding machine manufacturing specialist company founded in 1989. It has directly manufactured various welding machines and welding-related equipment and supplied welding materials. Based on 40 years of tradition and know-how, it has established itself as a trusted company in domestic and international markets.
National System NSWEL also holds ISO9001:2000 and CE certifications, is recognized as an innovative technology company (INNO-BIZ) and a management innovation company (MAIN-BIZ), and is a KC autonomous safety certification company. It also has a corporate-affiliated research institute. It was the first domestic welding manufacturing company to be selected as a ‘Busan City Strategic Industry Leading Company,’ a ‘Root Company by the National Root Industry Promotion Center,’ and was chosen for the ‘2024 ESG Management Capacity Building Support Project’ hosted by the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Through the technical agreement with National System, Dong-A Automobile Research Society will receive technical education and conduct research and practice using the NST-AD250FD model through technical collaboration.
With technical support from the company, Dong-A Automobile Research Society is also expected to receive assistance in participating in competitions such as Formula Student Korea (FSK).
Kang Pyung-gu (3rd year, Department of Electronic Engineering), president of Dong-A Automobile Research Society, said, “We expect work efficiency to improve significantly through technical collaboration with National System,” adding, “We hope to develop a more friendly relationship through this opportunity.”
Kim Byung-moon, director of National System, said, “By signing an MOU with Dong-A University’s self-built car club, we aim to help students gain experience and develop in real field settings,” and added, “National System will strive to strengthen cooperation with the local community.”
Founded in 1988, Dong-A University’s central club ‘Dong-A Automobile Research Society’ (advised by Professor Ryu Eul-hyun) currently has about 60 students from 1st to 4th year participating. It has consistently won awards at national competitions, including silver and bronze medals at the 2022 and 2024 University Student Self-Built Car Competitions (KSAE).
