The Gwangju City Council's Education and Culture Committee (Chairperson Myung Jin) announced on the 11th that on the 10th, they visited local content industry institutions such as the Gwangju Design Center, Gwangju Visual Complex Culture Center, and Gwangju Printing Business Center to inspect major business operations and listen to their difficulties.

This site visit was organized to check the progress of Gwangju's content industry in response to the growing importance and necessity of fostering the local content sector, and to seek policies that reflect the voices from the field.

The committee members visited the Gwangju Design Center and received reports on key projects such as the Gwangju Design Biz-Platform, Gwangju Industrialization Design Project, and the creation of Asia Character Land.

At this meeting, the committee stated, "The Gwangju Design Center is taking a leading role in advancing the design industry," and requested, "Please promote convergence projects based on cultural content by integrating regional specialized industries and design."

Next, they visited the Visual Complex Culture Center, a representative hub of visual culture in Gwangju, and toured the space that offers diverse cultural experiences through film and media arts. In addition, they discussed measures for the self-sustaining operation of the 'Asia Content Interactive Wall,' which has been installed and operated on the building's exterior wall since March as part of the UNESCO Media Art Creative City project.

They also visited the Gwangju Printing Business Center to check on the activation of the printing cluster, the fostering and support of small printing businesses, and the status of promotional marketing support.

Chairperson Myung Jin stated, "This site visit was organized to directly confirm major achievements and discuss development directions by visiting key bases leading the local content industry," and added, "We will continue to make efforts to ensure that more citizens can experience and enjoy culture through ongoing support and cooperation for cultural content."
