Yeonggwang County Governor Jang Seil has begun the 2025 round of town hall meetings with residents as part of the 8th popularly elected administration, aiming to listen to the voices of county residents.

This round of discussions will tour 10 towns and townships, covering the county's major achievements in 2024, the vision for 2025, as well as newly introduced town-specific development forums and the collection of residents' suggestions.

On the 10th, the first visits were made to Baeksu-eup and Yeomsan-myeon, where in-depth discussions were held to promote regional development. In Baeksu-eup, residents exchanged candid opinions on "plans to boost tourism using wind turbines," while in Yeomsan-myeon, the topic was "maintenance of Angangje for disaster prevention and regional development."

In addition, there was time to listen to a variety of suggestions closely related to residents' daily lives and to provide immediate responses on the spot.

Governor Jang stated, "In 2025, I will continue to actively communicate with county residents and practice a friendly administration with the happiness of our people as the top priority," adding, "I will do my best to listen closely to each and every valuable opinion and reflect them in county policies so that all residents can feel the difference."

Meanwhile, this year's town hall meetings with the governor and residents will be held in the following order: ▲11th, Myoryang-myeon and Bulgab-myeon ▲12th, Hongnong-eup and Beopseong-myeon ▲13th, Gunnan-myeon and Gunseo-myeon ▲14th, Yeonggwang-eup and Daema-myeon. For Nakwol-myeon, an island area, a separate schedule will be arranged.
