LS Electric Unveils Next-Generation Power Products... Data Center Package Revealed

Participating in COEX Exhibition for Three Days Starting on the 12th
Unveiling Business Strategies and a Wide Range of Strategic Products
Deployment of "Data Center Customized" Package Solutions

LS Electric has unveiled a large number of next-generation power products, including AI (artificial intelligence) data center customized package solutions, and is taking the lead in the era of the power supercycle.

LS Electric announced on the 11th that it will simultaneously participate in 'ELEX Korea 2025' (Electric Energy Conference & Show) and 'Korea Smart Grid Expo 2025,' the largest smart power and energy exhibitions in Korea, held for three days from the 12th to the 14th at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul.

LS Electric is showcasing its strategic solutions and global business strategies that will lead the next-generation smart power business under the theme "To Infinity and Beyond," in a 50-booth (450㎡) exhibition space?the largest among participating companies?organized into five zones: AI data center solutions, carbon-zero energy, smart factory, and more.

LS Electric is fully deploying next-generation solutions-based data center customized packages, including ▲superconducting current limiters ▲smart distribution panels ▲semiconductor transformers (SST) ▲semiconductor circuit breakers (SSCB) ▲air conditioning systems. It introduces the LS Electric superconducting solution "HyperGrid NX," which can stably supply power not only to existing data centers but also to hyperscale AI data centers.

HyperGrid NX is a data center (IDC) power supply system that combines LS Electric's superconducting fault current limiter and LS Cable & System's superconducting cables. LS Electric's superconducting current limiter is a device that instantly reduces fault currents occurring during power system accidents, preventing damage to power equipment, electrical fires, and blackout spread. It is essential for protecting large-capacity advanced industrial facilities.

LS Electric is accelerating its expansion into the data center market, including supplying power equipment to data centers of major global big tech companies such as US IT firms and domestic telecommunications companies.

With the rapid increase in data center demand due to advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) technology, global big tech companies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft (MS) are making bold investments centered on data center construction. The expected investment scale this year alone is projected to exceed 500 trillion won.

According to global consulting firm McKinsey & Company, global data center demand is expected to grow from about 60 gigawatts (GW) last year at an average annual rate of 22%, reaching 171 GW by 2030. In particular, AI data center capacity demand is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 33% until 2030, accounting for about 70% of total data center demand.

LS Electric, the only domestic heavy electrical company with UL-certified distribution panels, is unveiling a full package of next-generation power systems including ▲direct current (DC) molded case circuit breakers (MCCB) ▲DC relays ▲DC switch-disconnectors, while also emphasizing its world-class power solution technology and supply capabilities applied across the entire power system from transmission and transformation to distribution.

Additionally, LS Electric will exhibit demand-customized IoT digital technology-based energy optimization solutions such as the energy efficiency management platform 'GridSol CUBE,' the integrated power equipment management platform 'GridSol CARE,' asset management systems (AMS), and factory energy management systems (FEMS).

Gu Ja-kyun, Chairman of LS Electric, said, "As a result of proactively developing next-generation smart solutions and pioneering markets targeting overseas, visible achievements are being created in global business centered on the United States. By adding AI and digital technologies to world-class products, we will firmly take the lead in the global power supercycle era as a representative K-Electric company."
