Fashion platform Musinsa has entered convenience stores.
GS Retail, which operates the convenience store GS25, announced on the 11th that it has formed a strategic partnership with Musinsa to jointly promote business. The goal is to secure new growth engines amid the rapidly changing distribution environment and provide a differentiated shopping experience to the core customer base of people in their 10s and 30s.
Accordingly, on the 2nd of next month, GS25 will launch 'Musinsa Standard Express.' Musinsa Standard Express is a GS25-exclusive lineup operated by Musinsa.
Through this lineup, a total of 12 products including jackets, pants, t-shirts, belts, underwear, and socks will be released. These products will be displayed on a Musinsa-exclusive shelf and sold regularly at offline GS25 stores.
GS25 will bring in Musinsa Standard products to enhance the competitiveness of the convenience store's non-food MD segment. Musinsa Standard will utilize over 18,000 GS25 stores nationwide to secure offline customer touchpoints on a national scale.
GS25 and Musinsa plan to initially roll out Musinsa Standard Express products through 3,000 GS25 stores located in major commercial districts. Afterwards, they plan to expand the product range and increase the number of operating stores to all GS25 locations nationwide.
