The main support projects include ▲ support for installation costs of low-temperature storage facilities for bee winter management (215.6 million KRW) ▲ beekeeping smart sensors to maintain hive temperature and humidity (31.2 million KRW) ▲ natural pollen support (72 million KRW) ▲ beekeeping supplementary feed support (27.4 million KRW) ▲ EPP hive support (22.5 million KRW) ▲ queen bee breeding support (14.4 million KRW), among others.

The support targets are farms registered for beekeeping within the jurisdiction according to the 'Beekeeping Industry Promotion Act.' Applications can be submitted through district, town, or township administrative welfare centers, and the support recipients will be selected and individually notified within this month.

As of the end of last year, there are a total of 170 registered beekeeping farms in Yongin City, including 6 native bee farms, 8 mixed beekeeping farms, and 156 Western species farms.

A city official said, "The competitiveness of the beekeeping industry is weakening due to deteriorating beekeeping conditions caused by climate change and the distribution of imported honey," adding, "We hope this support project will be helpful to beekeeping farms."
