Available at the District Office Civil Petition and Passport Division
and Community Service Centers
Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced on the 11th that it will produce and distribute ‘QR Codes for Civil Petition Form Writing Examples’ to assist citizens in filling out forms easily and to provide prompt civil petition services.
By scanning the QR code with a smartphone camera, users can view examples of how to fill out 19 major forms, including passport issuance application, moving-in notification, power of attorney for certificate of seal issuance, birth registration, and death registration.
Previously, samples of civil petition form writing examples were posted at the district office and community service centers, but when there were many visitors, space constraints made it inconvenient to check the samples. Additionally, when filling out forms that are not frequently used, visitors had to ask the staff, causing delays in waiting times.
This QR code distribution aims to resolve inconveniences for citizens and reduce waiting times by providing examples for frequently used or difficult-to-fill civil petition forms. The QR codes are available at the Eunpyeong-gu Office Civil Petition and Passport Division and the civil petition offices of 16 community service centers.
Mayor Kim Mi-kyung said, “Through the distribution of these QR codes, we expect to reduce situations where citizens have difficulty filling out forms and enable them to complete civil petition forms freely anywhere,” adding, “We will continue to strive to provide fast and convenient civil petition services.”
