The 'Jangheung-myeon Complex Building' is planned to be constructed on the site of 155-2 Ilyeong-ri, Jangheung-myeon (including the site of Jangheung Culture and Sports Center) with a total floor area of 6,962.98㎡, consisting of one basement floor and four above-ground floors.
In particular, it is known that the facility will include not only the functions of the administrative welfare center but also a health branch office, senior welfare center, swimming pool, and other amenities designed to maximize resident convenience.
The meeting was attended by about 20 people, including Mayor Kang Su-hyun, City Council Chairman Yoon Chang-cheol and council members, related senior officials, and executives and employees of the service company KG Engineering Architects Office Co., Ltd.
The attendees shared the design direction and detailed plans and engaged in in-depth discussions to enhance the completeness of the project.
Last year, after completing the architectural planning service for the 'Jangheung-myeon Complex Building,' the city selected the winning design through an architectural design competition for the relocation and construction project of the Jangheung-myeon Complex Building and signed a contract for basic and detailed design.
This kick-off meeting signifies that the main project has entered the main track, and the city plans to accelerate the project aiming for completion in 2028, actively reflecting residents' opinions to build an effective government building.
Mayor Kang Su-hyun emphasized, “The Jangheung-myeon Complex Building will become a hub that dramatically improves the quality of life for local residents. Please ensure thorough planning so that construction can start promptly by solidifying the design stage and minimizing unnecessary procedures.”
