"I Will Support My Child's Wedding Expenses"
A lottery ticket purchased with spare change won the first prize of 500 million won, enabling the winner to support their child's wedding expenses.
On the 7th, Donghaeng Lottery released an interview with Mr. A, the first prize winner of the 91st Spitto1000 draw, on their website. Mr. A, who usually buys Lotto tickets and occasionally purchases Spitto tickets, recently bought a lottery ticket at a lottery store in Dodang-dong, Wonmi-gu, Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi Province.
He explained the situation at the time, saying, "I stopped by the lottery store intending to buy cigarettes. After purchasing cigarettes with a 10,000 won bill, I looked around to see what I could buy with the change, and Spitto caught my eye." He added, "Since they handled lottery tickets, I asked if I could buy Lotto, but they said they only sold Spitto and pension lottery tickets. So, I had no choice but to buy Spitto1000."
A few days later, Mr. A scratched the ticket alone at home and confirmed that he had won the first prize. He said, "I was so happy when I checked the winning ticket. I had been worried that I couldn't properly support my child when they got married, but now that luck has come to help me, I am very happy."
When asked about his plans for the prize money, Mr. A said, "I plan to provide a house for my child," and added, "Thank you. I will use it well."
Spitto lottery tickets are scratch-off printed tickets where the winning status can be checked immediately after purchase. Depending on the game method and prize money, there are three types: Spitto500, 1000, and 2000. Among them, Spitto1000 requires scratching six boxes, and if any of the numbers match the lucky number, the prize is won. The first prize is 500 million won. The winning probability of Spitto tickets is known to be about 1.5 to 2 times higher than that of Lotto tickets.
